The rooms were clean and modern, with a spacious layout and beautiful views from the top floors. the location was fantastic, only a short walk to the town and offering stunning views of the old course. One thing to note is that I unknowingly booked student accommodation, which meant shared bathroom facilities. My daughter was a bit upset about this, but I found the bathrooms to be clean and well-maintained. The breakfast provided was excellent, with a variety of options including vegan milk and sausages. the hotel also offered free Wi-Fi and a quiet environment, perfect for relaxation. the lack of on-site parking was a minor inconvenience, but there was ample parking just outside the premises. Overall, the Mackintosh Hall offers great value for money in St Andrews and I would consider staying here again, perhaps for a solo trip next time.
